The purpose of my last Camino adventure was recruiting. That is to say that I wanted my children and siblings to fully appreciate what I loved about the Camino. I had hoped that they would also love it and perhaps want to make the Camino a part of their lives as well. It worked.
My brother Joe and I will walk the final portion of the Camino Portugués. We fly out of Newark to Porto shortly after midnight on Tuesday morning. This year our intention is to travel as the elder statesmen that we are. Camino Ways (a company out of Ireland) has made all hotel arrangements with dinner and breakfast and they will transport our luggage day to day.
The plan is to actually enjoy this Camino by spending quality time in our starting town of Vigo as well as Santiago. We will then fly to Barcelona for a couple days before boarding a cruise ship home. Pura vida.
